Happy New Year!

Happy 2014 Though my actual New Years was extremely uneventful due to the fact that I was working, New Years day was wonderful. I was surprisingly hangover free (amazing) which allowed me to wake up relatively early and get together with my best friends from high school for brunch. Now, for me, brunch is nothing without unlimited champagne or mimosas (aka why you will hear me talking so much about boozy brunch), so of course I picked Jalepeno on the Upper West Side (68th and Columbus) for our New Year’s Day meal. Jalepeno as you can guess is a Mexican restaurant but for their weekend/holiday brunch they serve wonderful breakfast burritos, omelets, and sides such as the standard home fries or sautéed veggies…and let’s not forget bottomless mimosas or Prosecco with your meal 😉

Needless to say I was feeling great by the time I finished my omelet, and of course it was wonderful rehashing the adventures of the previous night with my girls. The rest of the day consisted of walking around Central Park with another of my best friends and enjoying the wonderful weather. You know me, so of course there was some shopping done for more winter accessories to get me through the cold that I know is coming soon enough.

2014 is looking to be ridiculous to say the least…my friends and I will be graduating from college (WHAT) and clearly we are going out with a bang. I don’t doubt that we will have some wild stories to tell by the end of this year as we all settle into post-grad life and enter the “real world” but despite my looming uncertainty about the future I am looking forward to every minute of it.
